National Job Centre renamed to National Careers Service

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has renamed the 'National Job Centre' to 'National Careers Service'.

The president made the change under the discretion vested in him by Article 116 of the Constitution.

The job centre operates under the purview of the Ministry of Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development.

The President's Office issued a directive regarding the name change on Wednesday.

As per the directive, all correspondence addressed to the National Careers Service shall use the number 490, per the numbering system for state agencies.
