A young man has sustained serious injuries after an accident where two motorcycles had collided in the capital city today.

Police revealed that two motorcycles had collided near Dharubaaru around 4:31pm today. They added that a 22 year old man who was riding the motorcycle had sustained serious injuries to his head, while the eight year old child in the passenger seat was alright.

The 23 year old man in the other motorcycle was fine as well. The injured man is being treated at IGMH.
