Ooredoo Maldives has appointed Damian Philip Chappell as an Independent Board Director and as the Chairman of the Company, effective from 1st April 2019.

Chappell is an Australian national who currently serves as the Chief Consumer Officer at Ooredoo Qatar, and has more than 17 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry. He has a Bachelors’ Degree of Applied Science, Information Technology from the Swinburne University of Technology, Australia.

In a statement put out by the company on Thursday, they congratulated Chappell on his appointment as a Director and as Chairman of the Board of Directors’ and added that they look forward to continuing their successful journey and achieving greater milestones in the future with his able guidance and assistance.
