Minister of Defence and National Security, Mariya Ahmed Didi has said that the entire government needs to unite and become one to wage war against terrorism.

Defence Minister made the statement on Twitter saying that police and security forces along with other entities of the government can work together under President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s banner of “unity is strength”.

Meanwhile, the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) began discussions with the relevant institutes on 4 May to discuss the threats to national security and the emergency response required in such an event.
