President Ibrahim Mohmed Solih has appealed all business owners to think of the long-term benefits instead of short-term ones during the holy month of Ramadan.

The President’s remarks hint at price hikes during the month of Ramadan and was part of his greetings to the nation on the occasion of Ramadan.

He appealed business owners not to hike prices of food products and others during the month of Ramadan, and to think of the rewards judgment day holds for being honest in their business services.

President Solih urged everyone to uphold the societal values outlined in Islam, in addition to respecting societal norms and values. He stressed the importance of following rules and regulations during a holy month such as Ramadan.

The President also urged everyone to practice being humble and forgiving and noted that these were important values to practice.
