MP for North Maafannu constituency, Imthiyaz Fahumy (Inthi) has been summoned to the Supreme Court after his comments on the court and its judges.
He was summoned to the courthouse today at 8:30 a.m.
Inthi has been repeatedly criticizing the Supreme Court on the media and the parliament. After the summon notice was delivered yesterday, Inthi took Twitter saying that that it was an attempt to scare him and he is not afraid.
The MP has said that it is his life’s work to reform the Supreme Court and continue to criticize the court. He said that all of the current judges have to be replaced.
While Inthi was summoned to the court today, the President of the Commission Investigating Disappearances and Deaths, Husnu Suood and the elect-MP for Fonadhoo Constituency, Moosa Siraj, have been summoned in the past for criticizing the Supreme Court.
