Maldives Police Service have revealed that they have been successful in confiscation about 150 kilograms of buried narcotics in an uninhabited island.

This was revealed during a dinner night held in GDh. Thinadhoo celebrating the 86th Anniversary of Maldives Police Service, by the Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameedh.

The narcotics were confiscated during a special operation held by Criminal Investigation Command, Divisional Policing Command and Drug Intelligence Unit.

MPS revealed that the drugs were found buried in an uninhabited island in Gaafu Dhaal atoll and was found during a 72 hour operation.
