Geela Ali has been appointed as the Secretary General of People’s National Congress (PNC).

Geela was appointed as the secretary general during the first official meeting of the council on Sunday. PNC’s Vice President, Ahmed Nihan confirmed the news in a tweet sent on Sunday as well.

Geela filled in various posts at the Health Ministry and Foreign Ministry during former President Abdulla Yameen’s tenure.

Geela had also contested for West Maafannu Constituency during the Parliamentary Election 2019 as a candidate from PNC.
