A radiology departmemt has been opened in Hulhumale’ Hospital.

Health Minister Abdulla Ameen inaugurated the department, during a special ceremony held on Sunday morning at the hospital.

Aasandha Company revealed that following this, MRI, CT Scan and Mammography services would now be available at the hospital.

Speaking during the event, in-charge of the hospital, Nahidha Hameed noted that the hospital had received heavy criticism from the public in the past for having CT scan machines and MRI machines without putting them to use in the hospital for a long time. However, with the opening of the radiology department these machines will finally be put to good use.

Naahidha noted that while MRI services will begin immediately, CT scans and Mammography servies would begin in the near future as well.
