President Yameen meets new leadership of PNC

Former President Abdulla Yameen has met with the new leadership of People’s National Congress (PNC).

A tweet sent out by Vilimale MP, Ahmed Nihan Hussain Manik confirmed that the president met with the new leadership of PNC on Saturday.

President Yameen had extended his congratulations to all the new members of the leadership. In his tweet, Nihan also said that PNC will go on to be the biggest opposition in the Maldives.

During the congress of PNC helf on Friday, Fonadhoo MP Abdul Raheem Abdulla was elected as the president of PNC without a vote. MP Nihan, Fomrer Ambassador to Sri Lanka Mohamed Hussain Shareef (Mundhu), Baarah MP Ibrahim Shujau and former Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed were elected as the Vice Presidents.
