Elections Commission has revealed that only 47 candidates out of the 386 candidates who contested at the Parliamentary Elections 2019 have submitted their financial statements so far.
EC member Ahmed Akram revealed that the deadline for financial statement submission is April 27th. He added that failure to submit the document within the given time frame may result in the candidate being penalized with either a fine or a two-year jail term.
Akram added that the required documents could be submitted from 2:30pm till 12:00am on Friday and from 9:00am till 12:00am on Saturday.
Candidates are to submit their financial statements to the EC by going to the fifth floor of the office.
