Gemanafushi MP Jameel Usmaan has said that, someone great like former Home Minister Umar Naseer should become the leader of main opposition, PPM.

Jameel Usmaan said that, under the guidance of former President Abdulla Yameen, someone like Umar Naseer should be made party leader at the soonest to continue the party’s political activities.

Umar Naseer was a high-level official in PPM during the initial days of PPM. In 2013, he had contested against former President Abdulla Yameen, in the party primaries. President Yameen had also expressed Umar’s desires to join PPM once again and take a leadership role of the party.

Some people had however criticized Jameel’s statement on Twitter and expressed their concern over the issue.
