Maldivian President, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has condemned the series of explosive attacks being carried out in Sri Lanka.

President Solih took to Twitter to express his condolences to the people of Sri Lanka.

In his tweet, President Solih said that he was saddened by the horrific events in Sri Lanka this morning and sends heartfelt sympathies to all affected by this cowardly act of terror.

“At this difficult time, I affirm our solidarity with the government and people of Sri Lanka and assure our support in the fight against terrorism.” President Solih’s tweet said.

Media outlets in Sri Lanka reports the death toll at 170. However, there have been no reports of a death or injury to a Maldivian national.
