President-elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has said that the government will pay special attention to Victory Day from next year.
Victory Day is celebrated on November 3 to commemorate the victory against armed foreign forces that attacked Male' in 1988.
Today marks the 35th Victory Day of the Maldives.
President-elect Dr. Muizzu said that it is important to remember the day and to educate the youth about the day.
"In order to commemorate Victory Day and to educate the youth on why we celebrate the day, the administration will pay special attention to Victory Day celebrations starting next year," Dr. Muizzu said.
