Mathiveri Council issues resolution calling to ban Israeli tourists from the island

A resolution has been issued seeking a ban on Israeli tourists from entering AA. Mathiveri.

In a resolution issued yesterday, the Island Council called on state agencies to prevent tourists with Israeli passports from entering the island.

The resolution stated that Jewish settlers who had taken away Palestinian land were not allowed to enter the island. It was requested that those who bring tourists to Mathiveri should not bring anyone with an "Israel" passport to the island.

The resolution further states that if they do not do so, the peace and security of the island will also be threatened, and that the Israelis cannot be welcomed by Mathiveri because of the "inhuman persecution" meted out to Muslims by encroaching on muslim land.

"We do not want to provide peace and shelter to any tourist with Israeli passports from the island's soil," the resolution said.
