The Pay Commission has changed the state pay framework to allow government employees working on official holidays to get attendance allowance.

Prior to the change in the pay framework, government employees were entitled to attendance allowance on any day when they were physically present on official working days or working online.

On Sunday, the Pay Commission had revised the pay framework rules and gazetted it.

According to the policy, employees who attend office during official working days as well as on official holidays will now be entitled to attendance allowance even if they complete half of their work hours.

As per the policy, attendance allowance will also be available on the days of official travel to and from the atolls or abroad.

The additional salary allowance will be calculated from the amount of basic pay per hour by multiplying the amount of time the employee works and the amount of time the employee works.
