Israel has issued a travel advisory warning citizens against travel to Maldives.
In an advisory issued late last night, Israel's foreign ministry said the atmosphere in the Maldives is "very much against Israel".
Therefore, the ministry has asked Israelis not to travel to the Maldives during this period. The statement was reported by Israeli newspaper Arutz Sheva or Israel National News.
While the government has asked Israelis not to travel to the Maldives, the Maldives has been vocal in condemning Israel's inhuman treatment of Palestinians.
Last Friday, Maldivians gathered at the Artificial Beach area to express their solidarity with the Palestinians, and on the same day a bike rally was also held.
Maldivians have been working in various ways to help the Palestinian people, including Telethon and other activities to raise money.
The Government of Maldives has always defended the Palestinians and has condemned Israel's actions on the international stage and called for an end to its attacks on Palestinians.
