Maldives Police Service has said a Maldivian man has been arrested in connection with the pregnancy of a minor in a southern island.

Police said a 26-year-old Maldivian man was arrested on Saturday following a court order and remanded to 30-day police custody.

A case was registered on October 6 after a minor became in a southern atoll.

'One' has come to know the girl was a 15-year-old girl from GDh. Atoll and her mother claimed that she was sexually assaulted by more than one person.
