The Health Ministry has launched an investigation into allegations of neglect of patients at Tree Top Hospital.

The negligence case against Tree Top Hospital recently came to light after a cancer patient died due to hospital negligence. Several other negligence cases have also surfaced. People protested in front of Tree Top on Tuesday.

Health Ministry Quality Assurance Commissioner Thasleema Usman told One Online today that the Ministry has not received any complaints about Tree Top's negligence till yesterday. However, such a case was reported yesterday and the matter is being investigated, she said.

She added that every health care facility should have accountability systems and it is important to raise concerns with the Ministry of Health.
