The Maldivian government has stated that attacks on hospitals and civilian infrastructures, targeting civilians are unacceptable.

In a statement released by the Foreign Ministry condemning the attack on Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza Strip, the government said that such acts and are in explicit contravention of international humanitarian law.

"The Government of Maldives reiterates its call on the international community to use all possible measures to stop the inhumane attacks against innocent Palestinians and urge the international community to expediate the opening of humanitarian corridors to facilitate delivery of medicines, food supplies and basic needs to the Gaza Strip," it added.

Over 500 civilians were killed in the bombing of the hospital last night by Israel.
