The PNC has appointed Felidhoo MP Ibrahim Fazul Rashid as the Deputy Leader of their Parliamentary Group.

PNC Parliamentary Group Leader Maduvvari MP Adam Shareef Umar tweeted that Fazul had been appointed to the post early yesterday. He will be the first member to hold the post in the party.

Fazul was elected to parliament on the PNC ticket. Fazul was the Managing Director of MWSC during the administration of former President Abdullah Yameen.

There was no Deputy PG leader of the PNC before. The PNC is in coalition with the PPM. Both parties are under the leadership of former President Abdulla Yameen. The two parties are now temporarily run by PNC Chairman Abdul Raheem Abdullah.

Although PPM is the main party, since President-elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu contested on a PNC ticket, PNC will become the ruling party.
