Maldives has bagged 31 awards at this year's South Asian Travel Awards (SATA).

This year's SATA Awards Night was held at the Ceretal Grand Hotel in Bengaluru from October 9 to 10, 2023.

Tourism Minister Dr. Abdulla Mausoom and travel and tourism industry officials participated in the SATA Awards on behalf of the Maldives.

The SATA Awards have been endorsed by 18 individuals, including international organisations and countries, including MATATO, MMPRC and NBAM.

The Maldives won 17 silver awards and 14 gold awards at the SATA Awards in the following categories:

Maldives has been awarded the Gold Award for leading beach destination at the SATA Awards.

Mohamed Ali Janah and Mohamed Umar Manik of Maldives are among the four people selected by SATA as the face of the South Asian tourism industry.
