Telecom giant Dhiraagu has announced Urbanco as Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race 2023.

Speaking following the announcement, Urbanco said this "event will strengthen our relationship with well-being and togetherness and it is a pleasure to be a part of the event."

Saaid Sports and Elite Runners along with KY Sports have been appointed as wellness partners for the Dhiraagu Road Race. The Wellness Club has been roped in as the wellness partner.

Dhiraagu has also said that the first-time runners from Saaid Sports, who has been appointed as the coaching partner, will get free training from Hassan Saaid, the fastest sprinter in the country. Saaid is the brand ambassador of Dhiraagu.

Dhiraagu said a personalised training programme has been arranged for the runners through elite runners and young runners will be trained along with KY Sports coaches Yazu and Csaba.

According to Dhiraagu, the participants will be able to take guided sessions on physical fitness and wellness through The Wellness Club coach Mariyam Abdul Karim, who has been appointed as the wellness partner.

The Dhiraagu Road Race is scheduled to be held in Hulhumale' on October 27. The run, which is scheduled to begin near Hulhumale' Central Park, will feature 4,000 runners, making it the first and the only international race to be held in the maldives.

The Dhiraagu road race is also listed in the World Running Calendar of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIIMS) along with a world athletics certified race route.
