City Council begins removing campaign banners across Male' City

Male' City Council has begun removing campaign banners put up across Male' city for the presidential election campaign on Tuesday.

MDP and coalition as well as PPM/PNC and Jumhooree Party put up campaign banners across Male' City during the presidential election campaign.

In the first round of the presidential election, PNC candidate Dr. Muizzu won 45.26 percent of the votes - 101,394 votes. President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih received 85,698 votes, which is 38.25 percent.

In the second round, Dr. Muizzu received more than 129,159 votes with 53 percent, while President Solih got 46 percent, which is 109,868 votes.
