Feydhoo MP Mohamed Nihad and Maradhoo MP Ibrahim Shareef has been attacked by a group of people.

Police said they were investigating a report of an attack on Shareef while he was in Manhattan. Police are on the scene of the incident.

A photo of Shareef injured in the attack has been circulated on social media. As the photo shows, Shareef's left eye is severely red and swollen. There were also some bruises on his nose.

Police said a case of assault was reported at 11:45 am today. They are also looking into the matter. However, Nihad could not be reached for comment as she did not answer the phone.
