State Trading Organization (STO) has started the sale of potatoes onions and eggs imported especially for Ramadan.

The company said that the products are available in retail at the STO Supermart at the STO Trade Center while STO Supermart Wholesale Center would have the imports available on wholesale. Onions and eggs will be available on wholesale at the STO warehouse at the Industrial Village every morning from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

STO said that they are selling a kilogram of onions would be sold for MVR 7 and a sack for MVR 140 and MVR 130 if a customer is taking 25 sacks. A kilogram of potatoes, meanwhile, is being sold for MVR 8.50 and a sack for MVR 180 and MVR 170 for 25 sacks. And eggs are being sold MVR 1 with a case of eggs going for MVR 270 and MVR 260 for 25 cases.

STO said that a system is in place this year at their shops to check the products before sale.
