South Mahchangolhi MP Ahmed Haitham has quit ruling MDP.

MDP Chairman's Deputy Administrative Ibrahim Waheed (Iburey) told One Online today that the party office had received the letter of resignation from MP Haitham.

“It was stated that he left because his views did not match the views of the party,” Ibre said.

While MP Haitham has left MDP, Fonadhoo MP Moosa Siraj has also recently left MDP and joined the opposition PPM.
