Adhaalath Party has reiterated their commitment to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih during the second round of the Presidential Election scheduled for coming Saturday.
Adalath Party played a key role in the formation of the government of President Solih in 2018. They have also formed a coalition with the MDP in this election.
The MDA formed a coalition alongside Adalat with MDP in the first round of the presidential election this year. However, the MDA has broken the coalition and has now decided to support the PNC candidate Mohammed Muizzu yesterday.
The Adalat Party tweeted last night that it continues to support President Solih in this year's presidential election in line with the decision taken by its consultative council.
The President received 39 percent of the vote in the presidential election held on the 9th of this month. His rival candidate, Dr. Muizzu received 46 percent of the vote.
Among the other parties that contested the first round, the MNP formed a coalition with the PPM/PNC. Other parties and independent candidates have decided not to support any candidate in the second round. The Democrats, who received the third most votes, were among them.
