The permanent voters list for the second round of the presidential election scheduled for the 30th of this month has been released.

According to the list released by the Election Commission today, 282,803 people are eligible to vote. This includes 408 new voters.

The voter list will be available in the Government Gazette and on the commission's website.

The PNC presidential candidate, Mohammed Muizzu, who won the most votes in the first round, is contesting the second round opposite MDP presidential candidate President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. In the first round, Dr. Muizzu got 46 percent. The President received 39 percent.

An addition of 12 boxes will be placed in the second round. A total of 586 ballot boxes will be placed in the election.
