The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has contracted two companies to construct two mosques in Th. Kandoodhoo and Vandhoo.

The contracts were signed by Minister Dr. Ahmed Zahir Ali at a ceremony held at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs on Sunday.

The construction of Th. Kandoodhoo Mosque was awarded to Mims Construction Private Limited, while the work of Vandhoo Mosque was awarded to LF Construction Private Limited.

According to the ministry, the two mosques will be constructed so that both men and women can offer prayers separately.

Th. Kandoodhoo mosque project is valued at MVR 11,258,581, while the Vandhoo mosque project is valued at MVR 9,778,268 to be completed within 365 days.

Senior officials of the Ministry, Kinbidhoo MP Mohamed Nashiz, MIMS Construction and LF Construction were present at the signing ceremony.
