Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said that Sh. Milandhoo Harbour Development Project is well underway.
MTCC said the fourth shipment of concrete blocks required for quay wall construction have been delivered to the site. Block installation work in ongoing, with 53% completion, MTCC added.
Scope of works for the project include 17,900cbm maintenance dredging operations, 72,938cbm new harbour basin dredging operations, 8,400cbm channel dredging operations, construction of a 583m breakwater, a 316m quay wall, a 93m revetment, a 25m groyne, construction of two bridges, construction of a jetty (130m x 2m), construction of an access platform, installation of 3,863sqm pavement, installation of harbour lights and navigational lights.
The project is valued at MVR 76.44 million.
