Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has revealed that they have commenced physical works on the N. Holhudhoo Harbor Development & Shore Protection Project on 18th September 2023.
They further revealed that the new harbor basin dredging work is currently ongoing at the site.
The scope of works for the project includes 10,614cbm new harbor dredging operations, 1,375cbm dredging for detached ramp area, 5,303cbm harbor reclamation operations, construction of a 570m breakwater, a 14m rock boulder revetment, a 375m geobag revetment, an 89m quay wall, a 10m x 9m detached ramp, installation of 418sqm harbor pavement, harbor lights and mooring buoys.
The value of the project is MVR 43.2 million.
