The Election Commission (EC) has announced that the opportunity to re-register for the second round of the presidential election will be held on 15, 16 and 17 of this month.

The EC had earlier decided to conduct the re-registration process on the 16th and 17th of this month. However, during a meeting held today, it was decided to extend the deadline by one more day.

“When it opens, we will open the opportunity to accept forms online in addition to the usual physical forms,” EC Vice President Ismail Habib said.

Habib said some people have requested to set up polling stations abroad and in some resorts but it is not possible due to lack of time to set up more polling stations, recruit officials and train officials. Therefore, 574 ballot boxes will be placed in the second round.
