PPM has decided to hold a special rally to celebrate the victory of the first round of the presidential election.

The election was won by the PNC presidential candidate, Dr. Mohammed Muizzu. He got 45.26 percent of the votes which totals at 101,394 votes. President Solih received 38.25 percent of the vote, or 85,698 votes.

The Election Commission has decided to hold a second round of voting on the 30th of this month.
