President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has urged the public to be prepared to celebrate the victory of the presidential election.

Speaking to the people of Dhiffushi today during his election campaign rally, President Solih said that during his visit across the nation, all islands have voiced out massive support for him, and that he would win the election in a single round.

"I want all of you to be a part of this victory. With no one left out, I wanted to be ready to celebrate the festival last night," he said.

President Solih said voting was the biggest right of the people under the Constitution and should be exercised with utmost sincerity. He also urged the public to consider the benefits to the islands and the public casting votes.

Pointing out that the people of Dhiffushi have a lot of needs, President Solih said that the land reclamation work in Dhiffushi will be completed in this term and if elected for a second term, water, sanitation and electricity will be provided to the newly acquired area.

He also said that a picnic island would be built for the youth, including modernising the streets of Dhiffushi, along with constructing a police building, setting up a waste management system in the island, providing basic amenities from the health centre, and building a volleyball court and picnic island for the youth.
