Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has signed agreements with Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure to implement Lh. Olhuvelifushi Harbour Development Project, Lh. Kurendhoo Harbour Development Project, and HA. Utheemu Channel Breakwater Upgrade Project.

The agreements were signed on behalf of MTCC by CEO Adam Azim and DG of Planning Ministry Shaana Farooq. The ceremony was attended by MP Abdul Ghani Abdul Hakeem.

Scope of work for the Olhuvelifushi project include 7534cbm maintenance dredging operations, 49,857 cbm new harbour basin dredging operations, 14,160 cbm channel dredging operations, 164m revetment, 172m breakwater, 156m sand-filled breakwater outer revetment, 156m sandfilled breakwater inner revetment, 246m quay wall, 11m x 11m ramp, 27m x 5m bridge, 132m x 2m jetty, 1149sqm pavement, navigational and harbour lights.

The project is valued at MVR 66.40 million.

Scope of work for the Kurendhoo project includes 36,363 cbm maintenance dredging operations, 63m revetment, 415m breakwater, 243m x 2m RC Jetty, 60m x 2m RC Jetty.

The project is valued at MVR 53.36 million.

Scope of work for the Utheemu project includes 8400 cbm channel dredging operations and 50m breakwater. The project is valued at MVR 5.74 million.
