Urbanco will start the land reclamation of Hulhumale' Phase 3 this week.

Urbanco said in a tweet today that the dredging work of Phase Three is scheduled to start this week. Arrangements have now been made to move the vessels from the work site.

According to the work plan released by Urbanco, the dredging of Hulhumale' Phase 3 will be carried out in three stages. The first stage will dredge 10 hectares. 29 hectares will be dredged in the second stage and 24 hectares in the third stage.

A narrow stream will be cut to circulate the water flow channel in the middle of the dredged area. The channel will meet the existing channel between Phase 1 and 2.

Urbanco recently awarded the dredging project of Dhiyanerufalhu, Hulhumale and Thilafushi to Capital Marine and Civil Construction Company, a Sri Lankan company.
