Dhiraagu has extended the participation deadline for the annual Dhiraagu Road Race till September 5.

Dhiraagu said today the company had earlier set a deadline of August 30 to participate in the Dhiraagu road race, but now it has been extended till September 5.

The event, which will be held in a total of three categories, will be held in hulhumale' Central Park area. A total of 12 NGOs are participating in this year's road race. Dhiraagu said that events to raise funds to run NGOs will also be held.

In this year's Dhiraagu road race, only seven-year-olds will be allowed to take part in this year's Dhiraagu road race. The bib allotted for the Dhiraagu road race will also be issued to children above the age of seven and registered in the race. The first race of the road race will be held at 3:30 am on October 27, which is the half marathon.

Dhiraagu Road Race 2023's 10-km running starting time is 5:30 a.m and the runners in the 5km open category will run in the evening of the same day. To avoid any injuries, Dhiraagu wants those who wish to participate in the race in the next couple of months to be ready to run.

The Dhiraagu Road Race was first started in 2007. This year too, a cash prize of MVR 200,00 will be given to five NGOs.
