President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has stated that he will retire from politics after his next term as the President.
During an appearance this morning on Raajje TV, the President was asked in what capacity we would get to see him following his presidency. President Solih noted that he will not be active in politics after his term was over.
The President highlighted that while he will be retiring from politics, he will still remain active in serving the people for a few more years through volunteering and other such activities. He asserted that after the term is over, he will retire from politics and no longer continue to pursue a political career.
He further added that since he does not react instantly, everything he say is very calculated and thought through as what you say is not something that can be taken back.
The President appealed voters to consider what has been done by the current government and reflect back onto what it was like before his administration came to power.
