PNC Presidential Candidate Mohamed Muizzu has stated that he will finish the development of Baa Atoll Thulhadhoo Airport.

The current administration had decided to develop an airport on the island and had begun reclamation of the land required for the airport this week.

Speaking during a campaign event at the island ahead of the September 9 election, Muizzu stated that his administration would finish developing the airport if elected.

Muizzu further highlighted that besides the airport, there is work to be done for economic development. He stressed that his administration would work with the people.

Additionally, Muizzu noted that about 900 people in Thulhadhoo require housing. To address their concerns, Muizzu revealed that a housing project will be carried out by reclaiming land in the island.

Muizzu also pledged a Hospital and laying asphalt on the roads in the island, as well as a sports complex and handicrafts center.
