Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has commenced physical works of Aa. Rasdhoo Harbour Breakwater and Coastal Protection Project.

MTCC said construction of sand bund wall is currently ongoing.

Scope of work for the project include reclamation operations of 106,552cbm, construction of a 106m breakwater, a 1,656m revetment, a 177m quay wall, 224m groynes, construction of a 11m x 11m ramp, installation of a 43m x 2m concrete bridge, a 20m x 2m concrete bridge, 795sqm harbour pavement, and navigational and harbour lights.

The project is valued at MVR 80.4 million.
