Aa. Rasdhoo Harbour Breakwater Construction and Coastal Protection Project is well underway, Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said.

According to MTCC, the first shipment of concrete blocks required for quay wall construction has been delivered to the site.

Scope of works for the project include reclamation operations of 106,552cbm, construction of a 106m breakwater, a 1,656m revetment, a 177m quay wall, 224m groynes, construction of a 11m x 11m ramp, installation of a 43m x 2m concrete bridge, a 20m x 2m concrete bridge, 795sqm harbour pavement, navigational and harbor lights.

The project is valued at MVR 80.4 million.
