The Planning Ministry has announced that the handing over of the land registries to the recipients of land plots under the 'Binveriyaa' scheme will be carried out at Hulhumale' Synthetic Track starting today.

In an announcement, the Ministry said it will continue to inform the land holders about the date and time the recipients need to attend to sign the agreement and receive the registry. Draws among all the recipients concluded last Monday, following which the ministry had said that the process of handing over the registries will begin soon.

If any recipient wishes to assign another party to sign the agreement and receive the registry, they must fill the Power of Attorney attached to the Gedhoruverin Portal. The announcement noted that the sample agreement and power of attorney will be visible via the portal starting today.

A copy of NID is required during the signing of the agreement, and for anyone signing the agreement as a replacement is required to bring the power of attorney and a copy of their NID.

A total of 9,003 plots are being given to 19,639 people who met the eligibility criteria under the scheme. It has been decided to allot land to the residents of Male' city by reclaiming hulhumale' as well as Gulhifalhu and Girawarfalhu.

The government has decided to allot 1,351 houses in Hulhumale', 2,219 in Gulagifalhu and 5,433 in Girawarfalhu. The government has allocated 26 hectares from Hulhumale', 42 hectares in Gulhifalhu and 73 hectares in Girawarfalhu.
