Maldives Democratic Party (MDP) has decided to hold a special campaign event tomorrow.
In a statement, the party said that the event, which will be held at the Social Centre at 8 pm tomorrow, will be a completely different from the party's public meetings and other political activities, adding that it will be a new concept.
"MDP has introduced various campaign activities in the Maldives, including meetings, campaign rallies, and other campaigning activities. Tomorrow night's event will also add to MDP's list of new entrants to the country's political activities. ," the party said in a statement.
The event will be held tomorrow night to present the economic manifesto, the last part of the party's manifesto for the next five years. MDP's presidential candidate, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, will also attend the event.
President Solih's manifesto has five policies. The four policies announced so far are Ufaaveri Dhiriulhun, Amaan Mujthamau, Zuvaanunge Aa Jeelu, and Heyoverikan.
President Solih has been making a number of promises while visiting the islands for the presidential campaign. So far, he has visited more than 90 islands

The president will go to the polls on September 9 with a coalition. The coalition comprises the Adhaalath Party and The Maldives Development Alliance (MDA).
