Sri Lanka's Capital Marine and Civil Construction Company Private Limited (CMC) has been handed over the task of reclaiming land from Hulhumale' Phase 3, Dhiyaneru Lagoon and Thilafushi.
Urbanco said it has already started the process of reclaiming the land by handing it over to the CMC. Under the project, 62.6 hectares will be reclaimed from Hulhumale' Phase 3, 24.6 hectares from Dhiyaneru Lagoon and 9.6 hectares from Thilafushi Area.
Urbanco said the project will go a long way in meeting housing needs, industrial needs and marina needs.
Under the 'Binveriyaa' scheme, 700 plots will be allotted in Hulhumale' Phase 3. These include:
24 plots measuring 4,000 sq ft
16 plots measuring 3,650 sq ft
43 plots measuring 3,250 sq ft
61 plots measuring 2,850 sq ft
132 plots measuring 2,450 sq ft
243 plots measuring 2,060 sq ft
181 plots measuring 1,650 sq ft
