Dhiraagu has invited applications to participate in the annual Dhiraagu Road Race.

Dhiraagu made the announcement at a press conference held at the company's headquarters. This year's road race is scheduled to be held on October 27.

Dhiraagu said the event, which will be held in a total of three categories, will be held at Hulhumale' Central Park area. A total of 12 NGOs are participating in this year's road race. Dhiraagu said it will also organize events to raise funds for these NGOs.

In this year's Dhiraagu road race, the lowest age bracket is seven years old. According to the company, the bib for the Dhiraagu road race will also be issued to children above the age of seven who are registered in the race.

The first run of the road race will be held at 3:30 on October 27. It's a half marathon.

The 10-km run opening time is 5:30 on the same day. The 5km open category runners will run later that evening.

In order to avoid injuries, Dhiraagu wants both people and children who want to participate in the race in the next couple of months to be ready for the race.

The Dhiraagu Road Race was first launched in 2007. With the number of participants increasing yearly, the number of participants has now been reduced to 4,000.

This year too, the road race will award different rankings. A cash prize of MVR 200,000 will be given to five NGOs during this year's Dhiraagu Road Race.
