MDP's presidential candidate, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has said that the tourism sector will witness a bigger change than expected in the upcoming term when the economic policy is shaped.

Speaking to the people of N. Maalendhoo as part of his ongoing presidential campaign, President Solih has praised his coalition partner, MDA leader Ahmed Siyam Mohamed, who hails from N. Atoll.

The President said Siyam was an imaginative, efficient and serviceable person, adding that he is one of the notable figures revolutionizing the tourism sector.

He further said that Siyam will have an even bigger active role in the development of the economic policy during his second term.

He said there was nothing more to be done for political purposes in the next term and the aim would be to complete the works initiated by the present government and ensure a happy and peaceful life for the people.

He added that after the second term, a developed country will be seen.
