The government has released the provisional list of flat recipients, after deciding to award flats to all eligible applicants.
Earlier in the morning, the Planning Ministry released the provisional list of recipients of two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments. According to the Ministry, all eligible applicants will be allotted flats.
The Ministry said it will verify the authenticity of the information provided in the application form submitted by those who have been declared eligible in the provisional list before the declaration of the permanent list.
Those who are unable to verify the information provided in the form will be subject to the rules of the agreement at the time of submitting the form through the 'Gedhoruverin Portal'.
According to the ministry, those who wish to file complaints on the provisional list can file their complaints through the 'Gedhoruverin Portal' from today till 2359 hrs on August 22.
A total of 20,697 applicants applied for flats under the housing scheme of this government. There were 14,489 applicants for a three-room apartment and 6,208 for a two-room apartment.
A total of 4,000 flats are being constructed in Hulhumale' Phase 2 as part of the government's 'Gedhoruveriyaa' project.
The work has been awarded to JMC and NBCC of India. Each company has been entrusted with the work of 2,000 flats.
The Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation had earlier announced that work on 13 towers under the project has been completed and people will be able to live there by next month. These are 1,624 units.
