Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said AA. Maalhos Harbour Development Project is well underway, with overall 80% project progress.

mdcc said they have completed construction of jetty and installation of harbour pavement.

Scope of work foe the project include a 20,049cbm new harbour basin dredging operations, 1,969cbm channel dredging operations, 2,317 cbm old harbour basin dredging operations, construction of a 407m breakwater, a 400m quay wall, a 170m revetment; a 56m groyne, construction of a ramp and a jetty, installation of 2,240sqm harbor pavement and harbour lights.

The project is valued at MVR 63.25 million.
