Five recipients have received IVF Funds from Fertility Support Community.

The recipients were handed over the funds by First Lady Fazna Ahmed, Fertility Support Community said on Tuesday.

The IVF Fund by Fertility Support Community was established to assist couples with fertility difficulties who are unable to go for treatment due to financial constraints. The Community will provide funding for one couple per year after vetting their situation.

"Although the funds were intended to be handed over to one selected couple, generous donations from Yami Fertility and IVF Center in India and Aster Medcity have enabled four more couples to undergo IVF this year. The five IVFs will cost close to USD 15,000," Fertility Support Community said.

The IVF fund recipients were five couples who had been married for an average of 17 years and tried for an average of 15 years to have a child but had not yet had the opportunity to have IVF.
